Sunday Funday has arrived!
After having an awesome night’s sleep because of the time change (thank you fall back!), I was off for my long run! I conquered a nice 13 miles in some amazing weather, preparing for the Women’s Half Marathon. It’s now only a few weeks away, and I can’t wait to get out and race!
My in-laws were in town this weekend, so we had a nice relaxing morning. A lot of it was spent tracking all the the excitement going on with the New York Marathon. I can’t help but get goosebumps when I see all of the runners at the start listening to “New York, New York”. If you haven’t run this race, put it on your list of races to run! It is nothing short of amazing!
Following our runner tracking, we headed up to the local Hyde Park Farmer’s Market. It is held on the 1st Sunday of every month, and we finally were in town for it this weekend. The organizers did a great job with all of the vendor’s having plenty of space for their tents and a huge variety. There were tons of people (and dogs!) enjoying the amazing weather today! Everyone was saying this was the first nice marktet that has happened since the spring! Glad we were able to make it! There was so much stuff to enjoy there, which made it so hard to decide on which tents to go to. There was even compost you could buy. It definitely screamed farmer’s market
There was food at just about every turn. The bread looked awesome! Good thing we came right around lunch time!
We all decide on some incredible ice cream from Whatever Pops!!! There were soo many flavors to choose from!
I went to my fall-default flavor, and decided on a pumpkin pecan popsicle. It was tasty, but not amazing.
Marcus’ pop however was awesome. Pineapple Cilantro – strange sounding for sure, but yummy!
For our lunch food, we had a few items from the Mexican Taco Stand. I was so hungry I ate up my taco before remembering to snap a picture. Woops! I promise I will get better about that At least I got a picture of the stand
I hope you all are enjoying your Sunday! We are off to a neighborhood bbq over where my parents live. I have been excited about this for weeks! Have a great rest of the weekend!
P.S. – Check out the post I wrote for the BlueGlass Blog! Just another reason I love where I work!
